Just Some Thoughts on Stuff

3 October, 2007 · Leave a Comment

Cindy Sheehan, who is running for Congress, wrote a  stunning piece, which is up on BuzzFlash, and I recommend you check it out. While considering the pro-democracy movement in Burma, Cindy reflects on our well-established fascist state, which stretches further back than Bush and Co.  She considers Chris Rowthorn’s article, When America Went Fascist, and finally posts some questions and musings which when actually asked, emphasize the point she is making.

For somewhat related reading, check out this article on AlterNet, and one from the Harpers website.  Of course, from the always wonderful Arianna Huffington,  an article reflecting the monks of Myanmar as compared to McCain.

I welcome differing opinions, but ask if you are going to refute what I’ve linked to, what I’ve said, or what connotative value it holds, please do so in a constructive manner. That means, reasonable posting links and/or citing facts.  That means having a genuine interest in a back and forth conversation, not a yelling match. That does not mean libelous remarks about me. That does not mean vandalizing this post. Just as an example.

Cheers,

Craig
