but the better ones were taken with my 35mm, so you won’t get to see them. Karl wasn’t kidding when he said this camera was not fantastic, but that it could get photos. You will see, below the fold, but first…

Because Karl has been hounding me for photos.  Here we are, a genuine stop sign in California. Notice that people in California don’t know how to get to Las Vegas.

Greetings from Sunny California

I arrived in California Monday night, at EVERYBODYS FAVORITE AIRPORT(tm), Oakland International Airport.  Took a ride over to the Days Inn, had a short sleep, and went to check out if the free breakfast had anything I could eat.  “Tofu Scramble”  Hmm.  Piqued my interest.  I asked the man working, is that a strict vegetarian meal, is that vegan?

“It’s only tofu and vegetables.” he replied.

Excellent. I’ll have it.  I began typing on my laptop, sitting at the restaurant counter.  The food gets served.  I eat the potatoes, and take a huge bite. (more…)

Oh why the hell do I need a title?

6 June, 2007 · 4 Comments

Monday, I am flying to San Francisco.  Hopefully, I will have a resume done before then.  I will be looking for an apartment, and starting a job search.  June 23, I fly back, arriving the next morning in Boston, to head to Juniper Summer Writing Workshop Something Something for a week.  I’ll be working with Mark Doty, and whoever happens to be in there, as well.  Crap, that’s more stuff I have to do.  Afterward, I will be travelling to New Hampshire for several days to finish packing things up.  With any luck, I will have a new place to send them to.  I will return to San Francisco on the train.  Choo choo.

Grades

1 June, 2007 · Leave a Comment

Grades for the final semester have been released, so now I know the following.  Advanced Poetry Workshop: A; Independent Study: A; Introduction to Language and Linguistics: A-; Survey of Modern Economics: B+.  My cumulative GPA for my entire PSU career is 3.33, meaning I graduate cum laude, except it’s irrelevant since I didn’t walk, and people at large don’t care.  Someday I should recieve my actual degree, and on that day, it will probably end up with a coffee stain or something.
